The Telocate GmbH is a technology supplier and service provider. The company focuses on solutions for high precision indoor localization and movement analysis using inertial measuring. Telocate has been founded in 2014 by Dr. Fabian Höflinger and Dr. Johannes Wendeberg as a spinoff of the Technical Faculty of the University of Freiburg. Meanwhile the company has found its own niche by supporting companies in the intralogistic area.
Sensotran was founded in 1990 by Mr. Joaquim Delgado, with more than 40 years of experience in gas detection. The company develops and manufactures a wide range of dependable sensors, controllers and transmitters that are designed to monitor and detect hazardous gases, toxic and combustible as well as organic volatile compound (VOC’s) and oxygen deficiency. Although directed primarily to the field of personal safety and environmental protection, the line also finds applications in many areas of process control. The company is supplying portable and fixed monitors to the main Spanish Public Administration, industries and leading corporations.
CEMIC is a research center with more than 80 members, distributed as 36 or permanent staff and 44 partially contracted or subcontracted, with a vocation to provide services to companies for the development of technological innovation projects in the field of electronic engineering, materials engineering and biomedical engineering.

The Institute for Microsystems Technology (IMTEK) includes 24 professorships, about 370 research assistants and about 650 students. It is one of the world’s largest and leading academic research centers in the field of microsystem technology. The IMTEK’s research focuses on energy-autonomous microsystems, smart systems integration, Lab-on-a-chip and medical microsystems, smart materials, surfaces, processes and optical systems.
